In the late 1960s, Mid-Continent Properties, Inc., was formed to provide management and insurance services for Nebraska and Iowa farms. In 1976, MPI was brought under the umbrella of the Mega Corporation, one of Omaha's largest and most successful commercial real estate companies. Together, MPI and the Mega Corporation continued to grow, adding clients to both its farm portfolio and its commercial real estate portfolio, eventually becoming the largest real estate company in the state of Nebraska. The Mega Corporation's partnership with CB Richard Ellis, the largest real estate firm both nationally and globally, opened the door to unlimited networking and opportunity for its clients. MPI enjoyed the benefits of this networking, and became larger and more successful than ever. With the appointment of Doran "Jeff" Post to President, MPI added auction services to expand clients' sale choices. In January of 2009, MPI was purchased from CB Richard Ellis|MEGA by Jeff Post and Roland Penner. Through this former alliance, and the addition of Carrie Duffy, a seasoned broker with 25 years of commercial real estate experience, MPI serves its clients with superior market knowledge and a door to newly available outside opportunities. MPI was built upon the foundation that business can be done with a good word and a handshake. Though times have changed and agri-business, like the rest of the world, has become much more technological, we still operate on the premise that a man's word is his bond and relationships are the key to success. We are fortunate to have operated for many years on this belief and we look forward to many more years of being of service and cultivating relationships. Now over 40 years old and licensed in Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota, MPI continues to provide superior service to farmers throughout the heartland. |
